It an employee tests positive for COVID-19, we are giving them two weeks of pay to self-isolate.

When I posted this, I was unaware of the changes to FMLA related to COVID19. Sounds like everyone will have a slightly changed policy.

No matter the cause of the sick leave, our organization is requesting all employees get a clean bill of health from employees before they come back to work. We have been fortunate so far, none of our employees have tested positive, so we haven't had to test any specific covid or quarantine policies.

All of our Tribal departments are setting their own policies. In IT, I require my staff to take their temps daily, and to contact me if they have cough, fever, short of breath (and the litany of new symptoms). At that point, I will advise them to call the doctor for further instructions. If they test positive (or the doctor feels there is a high probability of Covid) they will be required to report contacts within the designated time frame. I think in Minnesota, they are currently tracking back 10 to 14 days.
